32-year-old Abubakar Yahaya Ibrahim has been arreated by Police officers in Lagos on new year day over illegal possession of firerarn.
The Public Relation Officer of Lagos State Police Command,SP Benjamin Hundeyin in a statement on January 1,2024 on X(formerly twitter) said Mr Abubakar and two others were stopped by police officers at about 2am in Igbo Elerin area.
The Police Image Maker stated that though all three fled, Abubakar was eventually apprehended and searched.
SP Hundeyin said “found in his bag were a locally fabricated double-barrel firearm, one expended and one live cartridge”.
He added thay investigation is ongoing.
