The woes of officers of Eagle Crack (Commissioner Squad) Police unit in Rivers State that allegedly used machete on three young men,Solomon Cletus, Michael Ikeji and Bibobra Opuwari may have compounded following the taking over of the case by the office of Inspector General of Police(IGP) Adamu Mohammed through the Inspector General of Police Monitoring team in Rivers State, Revelation Agents can report. We learned that the decision of the office of the IGP to take over the case may be due to the fact that the Eagle Crack Police unit reports directly to the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Dandaura Mustapha and the investigation may not be thorough and unbiased if handle by the CP. One of the victims, Solomon Cletus confirmed to Revelation Agents that they were informed of the development in the office of the Commissioner of Police today,26 November 2019.The three men where tortured for refusing to

accept that they were kidnappers. They were locked up for four days and tortured with machetes to accept a crime they never committed .They were released through the intervention of their lawyer Victor Asiegbu Okilom Esq. In the meantime,a Civil Society group in Rivers State has welcomed the development. The National coordinator of Civil Rights Council, Arochukwu Paul Ogbonna Esq in his reaction urged the IGP monitoring unit to carry out unbiased and thorough investigation to ensure justice is done and seen to be done. He revealed that the Council will closely monitor the case.
Meanwhile information at disposal of Revelation Agents indicates that the three victims will be at the IGP monitoring unit office,on Wednesday 27 November 2019 to write their statement and field questions from the IGP monitoring unit.
