The new Director General,DG of National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking In Persons(NAPTIP), Binta L. Adamu Bello on Wednesday,4th September,2024 had a familiarisation discussion with Zonal/State commanders as well as heads of liaison offices across the country.
The DG of NAPTIP stated that the meeting was an opportunity for she to meet the heads of formations nationwide. The meeting also afforded the commanders an opportunity to meet the DG formally.
It was a one-hour Zoom interaction where all commanders took turns to introduce themselves to the Director General and also congratulated her on her appointment as the DG of NAPTIP. The commanders use the opportunity to pledge their loyalty to the DG and to give her their maximum support as she stirs the affairs of the Agency.
In her response, the DG appreciated all commanders for their efforts in fighting Human trafficking at the grassroots while urging them to be on top of their game in confronting the menace of human trafficking.
The DG promised to do all within her power to take the Agency to a higher level in performance. The NAPTIP Director General also promised to look at gender balancing in areas where there is a need.
The DG was flanked by her SA, Bar. Hassan Hamis Tahir, the Director of Research and Programme Development, Mr Josiah Emerole, the Director of Admin Mr Nduka Nwanwenne and the Director of ICT Mr. Hakeem Lawal. In attendance also were the PA to the DG Mr Abdul, the Head of the Monitoring Centre Mr Titus Mangza and the Head of Press and public relations unit were also in attendance.
