The Nigerian Senate on 1,March,2022 voted against a Bill for an Act to Alter the Provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 to Provide for Diaspora Voting; and for Related Matters 29 Senators voted in favour of the bill,62 voted against,while one was abstain .Relatively a Bill for an Act to Alter the Provisions of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 to make Free, Compulsory & Basic Education a Fundamental Right of all Citizens under Chapter IV of the Constitution scaled through with 88 Senators voting in favour and one Senator voted against.The house is expected to continue tommorow March 2, on issues bordering on constitutional amendments .
