The Independent National Electoral Commission has dismissed claims in some section of the Media that there will be diaspora/out country voting in 2019 general elections.
In a statement released Today December 13th December, 2018 and signed by the INEC national commissioner and chairman information and voters education, Festus Okoye revealed that the frame work as presented on November 12th,2018 at the conference only talked of internally displaced persons within the country and not outside the country.
The statement read that in line with the extant provisions of 1979 constitution as amended provides for only internally displaced persons in the country
The statement noted that internally displaced persons outside the state where they registered can only vote in presidential election while internally displaced persons living in state where they registered can vote in all the election
