The Ogun state Police command in Nigeria says it has arrested two self acclaimed pastors Stepen Ejim and Stephen Chukwuka for allegedly killing their inlaw one Peter Chukwuyem who is married to their elder sister
In a statement released on March 27,2019 by the Police Public Relations Officer of the state and a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Abimbola Oyeyemi explained that the elder sister of the suspects brought them from Delta state to Papa Ibafo area of Ogun state where they came and started using the frontage of her husband the deceased for church purpose.
DSP oyeyemi revealed that the deceased who was not satisfied with their conduct stopped them from using the place.
The statement further explained that on 5 February 2019, the deceased went to farm with his two daughters and met the duo of Stephen Ejim and Stephen Chukwuka but they could not do anything since the daughters were with him
The Police in the statement said the deceased later in the evening went back to the farm but didn’t return home which prompted the family to go in search of him and his dead body was discovered
The statement added that the matter was reported to Papa Ibafo Police Division and the suspects were arrested which upon interrogation confessed to the crime
Meanwhile the State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Ilayasu has ordered that the suspects should be transferred to homicide division State Criminal Investigation Department
