The leadership of Onelga Security and Planning Advisory Committee(OSPAC) appears to have chosen to be silent over the alleged killing of one Chigawem Oshimini by the security outfit  in Odiabidi community in Ahoada East Local Government area of Rivers State,Nigeria  until investigations into the circumstances that lead to the killing is concluded, Revelation Agents Online News learnt.

Dr. Maxwell Ahiakwo, Chairman of OSPAC in the state declined to respond to several text messages sent to him by Revelation Agents Online News on the matter .He did not also pick calls placed across to him by our Reporter.

Although the Chairman of OSPAC before now had told Revelation Agents Online News that the security outfit do not engage in extra judicial killing. He also revealed that some criminal elements impersonates OSPAC most of the times.

Also read a statement by the President  General of Ekpeye Youth Congress on the matter which was posted on his face book timeline:

I, Comrade Ogboka Chris Umeda the President General of Ekpeye Youth Congress condemn the killing of an Ekpeye youth, Chigawem Oshimini by OSPAC in Odiabidi community, Ahoada East LGA of Rivers State

While we have conducted a Preliminary investigation showing that the boy was innocent, I hereby petition the Inspector General of Police to further commission his men as to unravel the circumstances that led to the killing so that justice will be secured.

Meanwhile, I commend Odiabidi youths and indeed, Ekpeye youths for remaining calm in the face of provocation and enjoin them to continue to be law abiding. I also call on Dr. Ahiakwo Maxwell to do a reappraisal of OSPAC especially, as it concerns their activities in Ekpeye land even as we partner with them to fight crime and criminality in the land

OSPAC may have good intention in the quest to secure lives and property but proper investigation should be carried out before any ARREST hence, the unacceptable killing of the innocent young man in Odiabidi community

Rivers Commissioner of Police,CP Zaki Ahmed
