The Regent Chairman of the Eze Ekpeye Logbo In-Council, Eze Felix Enene Otuwarikpo has extended his administration’s hands of collaboration to Ekpeye business groups and professionals at home and in the Diaspora to take advantage of the present peace across the communities to invest at home.

The Eze made the call at Anakpo village in Igbuduya clan of Ahoada West Local Government Area when he and other traditional rulers visited the abandoned ancient Aya Nebe market on Friday.

The market was built at Anakpo village by Nebe age grade drawn from communities in Ubie, Ugbobi and Igbuduya clans in the early fifties but the market which is now in desolate state and in disuse, is set to be rehabilitated and revived for trading activities, the Regent Chairman announced.

To achieve this, the traditional institution in Ekpeye is ready to “collaborate with our people at home and in the Diaspora to revive the market. Our hands are stretched out to all our sons and daughters, including politicians. We want you as our partner in this journey of rebuiding for the future,” Eze Otuwarikpo stated.

Eze Otuwarikpo commended the Nebe age grade for their forsight in setting up the market and further demanded that “all well meaning people everywhere must join hands in Ekpeye’s efforts to refocus for growth and improve the Ekpeye people’s access to good governance.”

He was grateful to the Eze Igbu Igbuduya, HM Eze Joshua Eyiba,JP for organizing his domain into one cohesive clan.

The Regent Chairman further enjoined investors to take a good look at Ekpeye as the new frontier for profitable business ventures destination,stressing that “there are myriads of opportunities within the Ekpeye nation for investment. The return on investment here is also very promising.”

Speaking also, Eze Eyiba thanked Eze Otuwarikpo for finding it necessary to start his official function as Regent Chairman in Igbu Igbuduya, declaring that “Ekpeyeland under him is in a safe hand.”

Earlier, Reuben Lucky who is the Anakpo Community Development Committee Chairman expressed satisfaction that the Regent Chairman deemed it necessary to visit the community shortly “after been anointed.”

Those on the entourage of the Regent Chairman include HRH Eze Innocent Odum, JP, Eze Igbu Ugbobi clan, HRH Eze Chigemerem David, HRH Eze Ikaki Sobere Ikaki,Eze Emene Okobo, Rt. Hon. Stephen Ezewhem, former speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly among others. The Regent Chairman was welcomed with pomp and pageantry.
