The Police Community Relations Committe,PCRC, Rivers Command in its drive to widen their partnerships, on Tuesday,11th February 2025, paid a courtesy visit on HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY Eze Sir. Engr. Samm Nwokolo KSC,Eze Ndi Igbo Gburgburu of Rivers & Bayelsa States, at his palace.
The Chairman of PCRC in Rivers,Mr Voke Emore was accompanied by some Executives members of the organization on the visit.
Mr Emore in his remarks called for a more harmonious relationship between the Igbo community and the host state so as to sustain peace and reduce criminal behaviours.
The Eze Ndi Igbo Gburgburu of Rivers And Bayelsa States commended PCRC for their selfless service to humanity.
He stated that service to humanity should be a way of life while noting that it is the reason everybody should be part of PCRC.
His Imperial Majesty Eze Nwokolo recounted the numerous contribuctions of PCRC to the society including assisting in building some Police stations in the state.
Eze Nwokolo said on their part,the Igbo community is doing everything possible to maintain peace in the state by way of conflict resolution and use of other mechanisms.
He recalled how the Igbo community passed sensitive information on activities of kidnappers in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area last year to the security agencies and the state Governor which led to arrest of some kidnappers,recovering of guns and massive plots of land where the kidnappers were residing.
He assured that the Igbo community under his leadership in Rivers And Bayelsa states will partner with PCRC to rid the state of crime and criminality while calling for concerted efforts to end menace of land grabbing as he regretted that Igbos have suffered alot from activities of land grabbers.
