An energy customer in PortHarcourt has expressed surprise and shock over issuance of monthly bill by PortHarcourt Electricity Distribution (PHED) which amount to be paid was written in Biro instead of the automated generated bill
The energy customer who did not want his name in print wondered how PHED arrived at 20,000 naira payment for May, 2019 which was written with Biro after the automated generated bill read 0.00 naira
Reacting to the development, the Spokesperson of PHED said “We are looking at it, but did He not use light within the period under review, otherwise, the Zero consumption is abnormal situation, hence the written amount
Energy customers have also accused PHED of issuing them estimated bills
PHED covers Rivers, Cross Rivers, Akwa/Ibom and Bayelsa states in the South -South region of Nigeria
Bills are supposed to be automated billing in accordance to PHED operations
