The Police in Rivers state ,Nigeria says it has cleared the road earlier reported to have been barricaded by suspected kidnappers at Oduoha junction in Emohua axis of East West road, Rivers state
In a text message sent by the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers state Police command, Omoni Nnamdi to Revelation Agents He said”the road have been cleared please”.
Revelation Agents has earlier sent a message to the Police spokesperson at about 8:30am today morning June 18,2019 about reports of suspected kidnappers who barricaded the road forcing some commuters to abandon their vehicles and ran away
Emohua axis of the East West road have become very dangerous as suspected kidnappers hijack commercial bus passengers at will and later demand for ransom
On Saturday June 15,2019 the Ogbakiri to Kalabari section of the road was blocked by suspected kidnappers who were dispersed by the Chairman of Asari Toru local Government area Odiari Princewill who stormed the area with Soldiers and Policemen
