Premium Times Online Media organization says it stand by its story of Abscondment of 167 Police officers deployed to the North East, Nigeria to fight against BokoHaram .
In a story published by Premium Times on December 26th,2018 which was written by Samuel Ogundipe,the online media platform said the haphazard denial of Police Authority about the abscondment of its officials despite available evidence is meant to deceive Nigerians
The online media organization says it stand by its story maintaining that many military and police sources has confirmed the development to the organization.
The Force Public Relations Officer Ag.DCP Jimoh Moshood in a press statement yesterday said the report by premium times that 167 officers out of the 2,000 officers deployed to North East absconded is absolute falsehood.The Force Public Relations Officer while appearing on Channels Television Today also said “the story is aimed at promoting insurgency”.
Premium Times had also claimed senior officers who called the online media on phone laughed about the denial by the Police saying is just a way of saving their face from shame
