The Rivers State Police Command has neutralized a notorious kidnapper Chikweyeru aka occassion and another member of his gang early hours of Friday December 15,2023 in their hideout.
Confirming the incident,the executive Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area Chidi Llylod said early Friday Morning December 15,2023 he got a call from the Divisional Police Officer(DPO) of Rumuji Police Division that his men have been able to neutralize a gang of two suspected kidnappers.
Mr Llylod said a suspect Chikweyeru aka occassion and one other was neutralized in exchange of gunfire with the Nigerian Police .
Dr.Llylod disclosed that suspected kidnappers, at Emuoha LGA section of East West road kidnapped a Sienna vehicle and its occupants coming from Lagos to PortHarcourt three days ago.
The Local Government Chairman also revealed that the Police rescued three kidnapped victims.
He commended the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State Olatunji Disu,Rumuji Police Division and Police Officers stationed at Elibrada junction in Emohua LGA for the achievement.
The Rivers State Police Command has not officially spoken on the incident but Police sources confirmed the incident to our reporter
