The Rivers State Police command says it rescued a male Kidnap victim and arrested three suspected kidnappers at Obelle community in Emohua Local Government area of Rivers State on Tuesday, January 10,2023.
The command’s spokesperson,SP Grace Iringe Koko in a statement on Wednesday, January 10,2023 explained that on Tuesday 10th January 2023 at about 0800hrs, based on credible intelligence that on Monday 9th January 2023 at about 2030hrs, there were strange movements at Obelle Community in Emohua LGA of Rivers State.
The Rumumji Police Division mobilized Patrol Teams and raided the uncompleted building that was being used as a criminal hideout.
SP Grace Iringe Koko said Mr Martin Nze 37yeae old native of Awka, Anambra State, was rescued, and his car, a Toyota Corolla with the registration number GG 138 FY, was recovered and taken to the station.
The Police spokesperson disclosed that three suspected abductors; Mr Vincent Sunday ‘aged 25yrs from Rumuji, Mr Ekene Micheal aged 29yrs from Eliozu, and Mr Mohammed Oluwasegun aged 20yrs from Ondo State were arrested.
She said one single barrel dane gun was recovered from them .She state that the suspects will be charged in court once investigation is completed.
SP Grace Iringe Koko further said the command wishes to reaffirm its commitment to reducing crime and criminality in all its forms to a bare minimum.
