…Endorses Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs
The South-South Chiefs,Elders And Opinion Leaders Association of Nigeria has alleged that politicians have started recruiting cultists,thugs and ex-convicts in furtherance of their political aspirations for 2023 election.
The group made the disclosure in a press briefing on Thursday 25, August,2022 , by the National Chairman, High Chief (Dr.) Omubo Atuboinoma Harry JP.
The group also endorsed the governorship candidate of Accord,Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs for the 2023 Governorship election in Rivers State.
High Chief (Dr.) Omubo Atuboinoma Harry said
“The South -South Chiefs/Elders forum having ex-rayed all the governorship candidates of the various parties in Rivers State. Having studied the antecedance and sponsors of some of the governorship candidates.Having decided to fight against poverty, joblessness,marginalization,lack of sense of leadership directions. Having come to consider the position that the next Rivers State government must be people oriented and answerable to the people.Having come to the conclusion that the next Rivers State governor must lead Rivers people to promised Land of prosperity,job creation,even distribution of resources and infrastructure.
“Herewith declare our unalloyed support for Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs of the Accord.We are of very strong conviction that with Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs as governor, Rivers State will be liberated from autocracy and indisciplined leadership,with due respect for for people,Chiefs and traditional rulers”.
The forum said it declared to stand with Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs to bring about unity, development, equity, justice and good leadership to the people of Rivers State come 2023.
The group urged all members and Rivers people to get their PVCs and say no to autocracy.
The group said the Federal Government water resources bill currently at National Assembly -that every water ways:sea,river, including ocean, boreholes,belong to Federal Government is aggressive and extremely provocative.
The group maintained it opposition to the bill.
Earlier, Mrs Alabota Dateme said the mothers need a hub where children can go to develop their skills.
“We need scholarship and good health care at our door step.Only one person can do it for us.That person is Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs.Let us give him a chance to serve.We are strongly behind him”.
