As the cult war between two suspected factions (D12 and BS houses ) of Deygbam cult groups at Diobu, PortHarcourt, Rivers State lingers, there are indications that efforts to amicably resolve the supremacy and territorial control battle over illegal oil bunkering between the two factions last Saturday failed.
Reports reaching our news desk reveal that some hierarchy of Ku Klux Klans(KKK) aka Klans men a cult group domicile in some Nigerian University that gave birth to Deygbam cult groups in 1996 arrived PortHarcourt last Friday (April 21,2023) from their traditional headqurters in a neigbouring state with intention of brokering peace between the two warring factions of cult groups .
Insider sources informed us that one of the Deygbam faction led by a Malaysia returnee said to be a drug baron opted out of the peace talks,as according to the source, the conditions given to his faction will not favour the quest of his own group to have large percentage of revenues from illegal oil bunkering activities in Elechi beach which is the major cause of the crisis.
The source disclosed that with the development, it thus appear that the supremacy and territorial control battle between the two factions of suspected Deygbam cult groups may not end soon except the Police and other relevant security agencies live up to their responsibility by effectively tackling the suspected cultists and their sponsors.
