Prayer without thanksgiving and praise to God has been likened to protest to God.The assertion was made by David Ibiyeomie,the presiding Pastor of Salvation Ministries during Ist service on Sunday,27th October,2024 in the church headquarters in PortHarcourt,Rivers State,Nigeria.
Pastor Ibiyeomie delivering his sermon on the topic “Power of Gratitude” with bible reference drawn from Ist Thessalonians chapter 5 verses 18, which says “in everything gives thanks to God for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” stated that thanksgivings is Godwill and Promises of God is connected to you doing his will.
The Man of God asserted that complaining compound issues and You cannot murmure and see the hand of God.
“A man that is not grateful cannot be great in life.Many times you go through trial is not the devil is your unthankful attitude..Never get to a point where you think what you achieved in life is by your strength.
“Any prayer to God without
thanksgiving and praises is protest.God does not answer such prayers.Despite your challenges, thank God.Be grateful verbally,privately and publicly.Do it often.Lucifer was unthankful to God even when he had unhindered access fo God.One of the secrets of salvation ministries is thankgiving” Pastor Ibiyeomie said.
The Presiding Pastor of Salvation Ministries listed Gift of life(Psalm 3 verses 5),Deliverance(Psalm 103 verses 4),
His Goodness(I chronicles 16 verses 34).Perfection of your blessing(Luke 17 verses1- 19) as some of the reasons to thankGod.
Pastor Ibiyeomie further explained that no blessing of God can be sustained without thanksgiving as nothing increases in hands of complainant but all increases in hand of a thanks giver.
He admonished christains to make thanksgivings a life style adding that two notably miracles of Jesus came through thanksgiving.
