Some residents of Obi/Akpor and PortHarcourt Local Government Area are now fleeing the two Local Government over the Total lockdown of the place effective from Thursday 7,May 2020 ,Revelation Agents can report.
Our correspondent who monitored situation in parts of the two LGAS Today reporte that large numbers of people were seen with their bags boarding vehicles going outside the areas affected by the lockdown.
Some of the people who were s’en leaving the two areas told our correspondent that they do not know when the lockdown would be relaxed by the Rivers State Government, so is better to relocate to their villages and watch how event will unfold.
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State had on Monday 4,May 2020 in a state broadcast pronounced the Total lockdown of the two local Government areas as a way of curtailing thé spread of Covid-19 pandemic ravaging the world .
Rivers State of Nigeria presently have 14 cases of Covid-19 with 8 active cases.
