Facts have emerged on the identity of one of the armed robbers who died in car accident along AdaGeorge/Mile 3 axis of PortHarcourt on Wednesday,17,2024 while fleeing from the Police after robbing a shop that deals on wholesale of engine oil.
A man who did not want his name in print who says the deceased robber was his co-tenant at a compound between Obi and Timber streets,Mile 2 Diobu,PortHarcourt,identified the dead robber as Martins from Igbo.
He told our reporter that Martins owns the car he was driving on the day of the robbery incident.
The source also disclosed to our reporter that Martins always comes back home at wee hours of the day and when he is questioned by neighbours,he will claim commercial sex workers at some clubs in PortHarcourt engages him to convey them to their male clients house at wee hours.
The co-tenant of the deceased robber also said they are not aware he is into robbery.
He further disclosed that Martins a father of four children abandoned his wife on December 19,2023 and took his four children to stay with another woman with two children at a house he (Martins) rented around Iwofe in Rumuloemeni.
Recall that the Public Relations Officer of Rivers State Police Command,SP Grace Iringe Koko confirmed to Journalists that the robbers rammed into a stationed truck while being chased by the Police which led to death of one of the robbers while two who were critically injured were taken to the hospital by the Police where they are receiving medical attention.
