Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, CP Olatunji Disu in company of Deputy Commissioner of Operations, DCP Olugbenga Adepoju, Commander CP X-Squad, Commander, CP Monitoring Unit, Police Public Relations Officer and other ranking officers visits some checkpoints on Saturday 30th December 2023.
At the boundary between Rivers and Imo State, the CP addressed the police personnel at the checkpoints.
A statetement by the Police Public Relations Officers in Rivers state,SP Grace Iringe Koko said the CP warned officers to avoid long queues, extortion, and also urged them to be civil to members of the public in their engagements, while crime must be prevented in this Yuletide season.
SP Koko said the CP, also ordered the removal of vehicle plate numbers that were covered.
