Management of Rivers State Police Command in collaboration with IHP consulting services on Thursday, January 11,2024 organized a managerial skill training for Area Commanders,Divisional Police Officers(DPO) and heads of tactical units on effectiveness at Workplace.
Briefing Journalists at the sideline of the training, at Officers Mess PortHarcourt, CP Olatunji Disu said at the begining of the year, the Inspector General of Police,IGP Kayode Egbetokun urged various command Commissioners of Police to organize training for their officers .
CP Disu stated that inline with the directive of the IGP, the command today organized a training on effectiveness at workplace for officers in collaboration with IHP consulting services Limited.
The Rivers Police Boss disclosed that Officers of the command has listened to the facilitator and have told him(CP) that they have really learnt alot and will put the knowledge they gathered from the lecture to use.
CP Disu revealed that the command plan to have five to six training with external trainers in 2024 aside inhouse trainings .
The Rivers Commissioner of Police commended the lead facilitator for training officers of the command free of charge.
Earlier, the led facilitator, Dr.Mercy Abu said the training of the officers will make the officers to be more efficient,more accomodating to the community and improvement of personal skills.
Some of the topics the officers were trained on include,Emotionally Intelligence,Effectiveness and Efficiency,Time Management etc.
