The Rivers State Police Command and Nigerian Navy Ship,NNS pathfinder have resolved to strengthen collaboration in areas of Crime fighting and intelligence.
This was the focal point of discussion when the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, CP Olugbenga A. Adepoju along with his Management Team, paid a courtesy visit to the Commanding Officer of NNS Pathfinder, Commodore C.N. Aniaku.
According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe Koko, the visit aimed to strengthen collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Navy in the state.
During the visit, CP Olugbenga expressed gratitude to Commodore Aniaku and other senior officers for their warm reception. He stated that his visit was to formally introduce himself following his assumption of duty as the new Commissioner of Police in Rivers State and to foster enhanced cooperation between the two security agencies, as police alone cannot address all security challenges.
In response, Commodore Aniaku appreciated the CP’s visit, acknowledging the vital role of the Nigeria Police Force assured that the visit would further strengthen the existing relationship between the Nigerian Navy and the Nigeria Police in their joint security efforts.
A key highlight of the visit was the exchange of plaques between the two leaders, symbolizing the deepened partnership between their respective agencies.
