The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Joseph Mukan has paraded four suspected IPOB members Ugochukwu Abaziem, Chinedu Ureabu,Sunny Vincent,Onyekachi Sylvester all males who were arrested at Iriebe Housing Estate. CP Mukan in a press briefing at Moscow road,PortHarcourt,headquarters of the Rivers State Police command Today 24th,December disclosed that the suspects are suspected to be members of proscribed IPOB group responsible for the attacks on Police stations during EndSARS protest in Oyigbo Area command where Police stations were burnt and looted.
CP Mukan listed items recovered from the suspects to include one transmission radio set, large quantities of IPOB T-shirts and face caps, a calendar bearing photograph of Nnamdi Kanu,one Television set, customized machete bearing names of members, substance use in worship of their god Ezumezu Amadioha juju.
Meanwhile Onyekachi Sylvester and the others denied being members of IPOB stating that the materials were not seen in their room but in their neighbours room under the sane roof.
Also paraded were Saturday Gospel and David Simon all males accused of attempting to kidnap an NNPC Staff Barrister Tamuno Igbikiberebima on 17,December 2020 in his residence at Rumuigbo but the uncommon bravery of the who single handed dispossessed one of the kidnappers of his AK 47 riffle and later the second one was arrested.
CP Mukan added that that he will do everything in his power to guarantee that fundamental rights of citizens under his command are protected and also,minimize,misuse of fire arms and extra judicial killings .
