The case involving  over one hundred inmates who has stayed over ten years at Correctional centre in PortHarcourt without trial  verse   Commissioner of Police, Attorney General of Rivers State and Correctional Services continued on Friday October,14,2022.

Recall that a Non Governmental Organization, Legal Care Advocacy Foundation had filed the suit on behalf of the over 100  inmates requesting the inmates be released unconditionally or the state should bring out their advice from Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) having stayed in correctional centre for atleast ten years.

When the matter came up  for hearing, the lead  counsel for the applicants,C.I George will Esq  informed the court that all parties have been served. 

However, the  Rivers State high court presided over by Justice Dagogo Jack observed that the 2nd Respondent(correctional services) was not rightly served.

 Justice  Dagogo Jack requested that the second respondent  be served while the  matter was adjourned to 17 November,2022  for hearing.
