Rivers State High Court has inaugurated a Colloquium Committee on the review of drafted Rules of the High Court of the state.
Chief Judge of the state, Justice CHIBUZOR SIMON-AMADI in his speech, charged members of the committee to ensure rules that will take care of already emerged and emerging situation not only in the state but in the entire world.
Justice SIMON-AMADI reminded the committee about the importance of rules of the court which he said are veritable instrument in the administration of justice, insisting that without rules of court, the law can not serve the purpose.
The Chief Judge of the state however gave the Colloquium Committee on the review of drafted Rules of the High Court sixty days to conclude their assignment and submit back for signing.
In his acceptance speech, the Chairman of the Committee, Justice, BOMA DIEPIRI while commending the Chief Judge for the confidence repose on them, also disclosed some of the recommendations already in the rules including solution to the E-filing and dress code just as he assured that they will do everything possible to bring to the modern society.
