Suspected cultists on Tuesday night,January 14,2025 killed a vigilante personnel identified as Precious Nnamdi at hospital road,Ahoada town,Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State,Revelation Agents learnt.
We gathered that the suspected cultists bearing guns intercepted the vigilante personnel while he was on patrol and shot him severally but the bullets reportedly did not penetrate his body.
Community sources informed our reporter that the assailants later used sticks and iron objects found around the scene to hit the vigilante member until he died before they fled.
The development,we gathered, has created tension in Ahoada town even as neither of the two dorminant cult groups(Iceland and Greenland) in the LGA have claimed responsibility for the attack.
Our source also disclosed that the deceased victim hails from Ihuike community in Ula-Upata Kingdom, Ahoada East LGA.
When contacted,the spokesperson for the Rivers State Command,SP Grace Iringe Koko confirmed the incident.
she said the victim was confirmed dead by a Doctor when he was rushed to the hospital.
SP Koko said “yes I can confirm the incident.The Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju has directed the Area Commander and tactical units to fish out and arrest the perpetrators”.
