The woes of Imo state Governor Rochas Owelle Okorocha continued yesterday March 11,2019 as his name was removed from the list of senators elect published by Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) .
In the list cited by our reporter, INEC said the Imo state west senatorial district result was declared under duress .INEC had published list of senators elect in Nigeria with a notice of issuing them certificate of returns on Thursday March 14,2019 in International Conference entre Abuja
The collation officer for the Imo state west senatorial district had alleged that He declared Okorocha winner under duress. Also, Professor Yakubu Mahmood, chairman of INEC in Nigeria in a press conference warned that the commission will not issue certificate of returns to candidates in area where their staff declared the result under duress.
Meanwhile son inlaw of Rochas Okorocha the preferred Governorship candidate of the Governor and candidate of Action Alliance was defeated by Emeka Ihedioha in the Governorship election as announced by INEC yesterday March 11,2019
Last week the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested Mr Uzoho Casmir,the Account General of Imo state, for allegedly diverting millions of naira to be used for the elections in Imo state
The national working Committee of his party, All Progressive Congress had last week suspended Rochas Okorocha for anti-party activities
