Suspected Iceland cult members loyal to wanted David Gift aka 2Baba said to be responsible for killing of SP Bako Angbashim late Divisional Police Officer(DPO) of Ahoada Police Division on Sunday morning November 12,2023 attacked and killed five natives of Odiemereni community in Ahoada East LGA of Rivers State we learnt.
A native of the community who pleaded anonymity told our reporter that the suspected cultists invaded the community at about 1am Sunday morning where they killed two of his brothers and another person in his compound.
The brother to the deceased victim in an interview with our reporter explained that five persons in total were killed in the community.
He said the suspected cultists told the community after the killings,that the only condition for them(cultists) to stop the killing is for the Nigeria Police to release their sponsors and sympathizers as well as some chiefs in custody of the Police before they(cultists) will cease fire.
The native called on the Rivers State Government and the security agencies to do more in order to arrest the wanted cultists as everybody is now living in fear.
Another source told our reporter that the suspected cultists killed the natives after accusing them of being Police informants.
e also gathered that two suspected cultists were killed in exchange of gunfire with Police who responded to distress call by the community.
The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command SP Grace Iringe Koko was yet to respond to text messages sent to her by our reporter
