The suspected killer of a keke driver identified as PraiseGod John reportedly at Estate Police station,Woji in Obi/Akpor local Government area of Rivers State has been transferred to State homicide department Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Port Harcourt, Revelation Agents has learned .We also gathered that some officers accused of extortion by the tricycle drivers have been invited for questioning by the Police Authority for questioning.
There was pandemonium on Wednesday April 15,2020 as keke drivers embarked on protest when information that their colleague reportedly died at the premises of the Police station filtered into their ears.
We gathered that suspected hoodlums hijacked the protest and reportedly invaded the houses of Police officers in the area and destroyed their property.
Our source disclosed that it took re-enforcement from other Police unit to calm the situation.
A Cousin to the deceased,Godbless Monday had earlier told Revelation Agents that the victim reportedly died in the premises of the station after a scuffle with the vulcanizer.
However, the spokesperson of Rivers State Police command,Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP) Nnamdi Omoni in a statement last Wednesday night said the victim died in the hospital not in Police Station.DSP Omoni confirmed that the vulcanizer and other persons suspected to be involve in the stabbing to death of the victim has been transferred to SCID.
