Three suspects who were arrested by vigilante members at Azikiwe Street, Mile 2 Diobu PortHarcourt,Rivers State on November 29,2020 for allegedly detonating explosives at Governor Wike Father’s Church, Christain Universal Church International have confessed to belong to proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB).
The suspects progress Owudingo,Apuro Victor and John Okorie who hail from Etche,Ebonyi and Abia state made the confessions in a chat with Journalists when they were paraded by the Rivers State Police command at the state headquarters, Moscow road,Port harcourt.
The suspects disclosed that they were sent by one Chinedu who has promised to give them positions in IPOB fold.
The suspects also maintained that they were not paid for the operation .
Meanwhile the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police command CP Joseph Mukan during the briefing disclosed that investigation and confessional statement from the suspects indicate that the IPOB members are divided into zones in Rivers State.
CP Mukan explained that the IPOB members from their confession are so many in Rivers State.
CP Mukan added that the suspects we be arraigned in court soon.
