Local vigilance group  on Sunday and  Monday morning(10th and 11th April,2022) suffered casualties in Obelle and Egbeda communities in Emohua Local Government area of Rivers State following attacks by suspected cultists,Revelation Agents learned.

We gathered that the attack by suspected cultists in some EMOLGA communities in recent times may not be unconnected to planned territorial control by suspected cultists for advancement of economic gains.

We gathered that the suspected cultists were reported to have invaded Egbeda community in Emohua Local Government area on Monday morning and killed a member of a local vigilance group .

The stakeholders of the community were in a meeting when our correspondent contacted them to speak on the matter.

The leadership of the Community Development Committee (CDC) in the community promised to get back to our reporter after the meeting but were yet to do so as at time of the filing in the report.

Relatively gunmen suspected to be cultists allegedly led by one B2K was reported to have killed ‘Whiteman’ the leader of  vigilance group in Obelle town,Emohua LGA on Sunday morning and carted away his corpse.

Community sources who craved for anonymity disclosed that the vigilance group leader was abducted in a bush path by his assailants and taken into the bush where he was reportedly killed.
The source explained that members of local vigilance group who went inside the bush in search of their leader saw blood stains on the path he took but could not find him as his cell phone was also switched off.
The community sources informed our reporter that many natives has deserted the village as at press time.
When contacted the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police command DSP Grace Iringe Koko said she will get back to us as soon as she gets details on the matter.
Recall that unknown gunmen had killed a member of vigilance group known as ‘Awuse’ in Obelle Community and two other persons in past few weeks.
