The Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu has revealed that those responsible for the killing of the late red cross worker Hauwa Leman should be made to pay the supreme price.He made the assertion Today at the floor of plenary.He said “policies should be put in place to avoid this from happening again,we cannot be toying with the lives of our citizens”.

In his own contribuction Senator Barau Jibrin said “We have been commending our security agencies but this problem has been lingering for several years now”.

In his own speech Senator Dino Melaye said “Bokoharam gave notice of threats, the deadline expired, I ask, what is the job of our security agencies. This calls for national attention”

The senate then resolved to;

  1. Observe 2 minutes silences in honour of the deceased

11.Extend condolence visits to the families of the deceased and

  1. That FG, through security agencies should ensure the release of Leah Sharibu and any other surviving hostages
  2. Nigeria Senate
