Residents of Wokomalane,Dim,Ovim,Obuagu,Ojotolane and parts of Obaziolu,Apostolic,Wokoma, streets are now in joyous mood as the Chairman of PortHarcourt Local Government Area, Hon Ezebuwon Ichemati, aka ‘Sugar’ Mayor has taken up the responsibility of fixing a vandalized transformer located at Ogbuagu/Wokoma street,Mile 3 Diobu,PortHarcourt Rivers State.
The Area have been without light supply for some weeks after unknown hoodlums vandalized and stole all the armoured cables in the transformer worth millions of naira which plunged the community into darkness with residents suffering effect of heat waves,small businesses which are dependent on light suffering low patronage.
However,succour came the way of the residents as the ‘Sugar’ Mayor over the weekened took up the responsibility of fixing the vandalized transformer when information on the incident filtered into his ears.
In the meantime,Chinasa Ernest,Woman leader of zone 2,Simplified movement,PHALGA ward 18 has commended the ‘Sugar’ Mayor for the kind gesture.
Mrs Ernest in an interview with our reporter stated that Hon.Ezebuwon Ichemati is a man with good heart and a promise keeper.
She reiterated the continous support of women in her zone for the PHALGA Chairman.
On her part,Mrs Queen Chile Okpara Woman leader of App in Chigbu, PHALGA ward 18 thanked the Mayor for also coming to their aid by assisting in providing the enabling environment and logistics for restoration of light supply in Chigbu,School road,Azikiwe streets,Mile 2 Diobu that were without light supply for days due to fallen electric poles.
Mrs Opara pledged the unwavering support of the women for the performing and best Chairman ever PHALGA has produced.
