We Have The Capacity To Protect Rivers People -Rivers CP

The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Joseph Mukan has revealed that the Police and other security agencies have the capacity to protect lives and property. 
CP Mukan made the assertion while briefing journalists on Saturday October 24, 2020 at the Area command and Police in Oyigbo, Oyigbo LGA which was allegedly burnt down by suspected members of proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB ).
CP Mukan reassured Rivers people that the Police and other sister agencies will do all within their ability to ensure peace and stability. 
CP Mukan also disclosed that the Divisional Police Officer(DPO) of Oyigbo Police Division is alive contrary to insinuation that he was killed and beheaded .
CP Mukan presented the DPO of Oyigbo Division Suleiman Abdullahi to Journalists to Burgess his claim.
CP Mukan added that a comprehensive investigation was ongoing. 
Meanwhile the Commissioner of Police who was accompanied by other service Chiefs in the state visited Judiciary complex in Oyigbo which was vandalized, Sagana axis of Aba Road in Port Harcourt where there was report of disturbances earlier this morning was also visited. 
Meanwhile the Police alongside sister agencies drove along creek road, Azikiwe road, Ikwerre road in show of Force and to reassure Rivers People of the commitment of the Security agents to protect lives and property. 
Our correspondent reports that 25 vehicles that was burned down was seen at the Oyigbo Area command complex, the carcass of the Divisional Crime Officer of the Area command, Oyigbo and the carcass of a Soldier that who were roasted by the hoodlums were sighted by our correspondent .
Also sighted by our correspondent was two burnt Army patrol vehicles and an Armoured Personnel Carrier 
Meanwhile the Oyigbo town looks like a ghost town .
